Oh yeah, all of the students carried their notebooks wherever they went. They were required to keep notes on all of our activities. The books were turned in for grading at the conclusion of the trip. They gained a knowledge of Washington D.C., New York, Virginia, Baltimore, and places in between, that few will ever know. These very astute students of A Free Tutoring Service. This trip will add to their trips taken to Hoover Dam, Lake Meade, San Francisco, The Generators of Hoover Dam, Las Vegas, and places near and far! Thanks to all of our supporters who make....Field Trips possible for underprivileged students!

| Arlington National Cemetery...The Changing of the Guard. Eddie Gayle McAlpin, with blue and white cap to keep the misty weather at bay, watches the concentration of the Guard as he walks to and fro, seemingly ignoring everything that is going on around him! Naturally, our 12 year old Lauren, dropped her camera, and it rolled down the steps to come to rest in the Guard's path! He gingerly did a side-step to miss the camera, thank God! Lauren asked afterwards, "Do you think I will ever see my camera again?" To which I replied......"I hope not!" | |
