Vocational...Electrical and Electronics Curriculum-- DC Motors...by Cleophas McAlpin
Cleophas McAlpin.....Chief Tutor; Questions about my qualifications?: Mr. McAlpin made an "A" in the very tough course of the Electrical Engineer, "Electric Machines", when every one of the 20 electrical engineering students at Cal State L.A. were "flunking": I suppose that gives him the right to teach the students some of the things he learned about... electric motors! Thing about him is that he never forgets any of the Electrical Engineering Courses, the Civil Surveying Courses, the Electronics Courses, the Chemical Engineering Courses, the Ham Operator Amateur Extra Status he achieved, and all of the Advanced Math and Science that went along with allowing him to teach....the Middle and High School students...about Inertial Guidance Systems (Minuteman One Guidance Systems, 1961-1965; Functional Test Inspector), (Civil Surveyor, placing roads around the Los Angeles Zoo upon its construction), (Delta-Wye transformations and Power Factor Metering); Computerized Co-Generation Metering of the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power as a Supervising Senior Electrical Tester...training employees, and sometimes, Electrical Engineers, on the fine aspects of Power Metering, to keep them safe from the "skin- seering" flash of 480 volts, or death from mistakes made in regards to 34,500 Volts for over 28 years!
