A great way to start! Lamar (15) does community service (3 hours) upon entering Free Tutoring Service. He is shown below shampooing the carpets at our tutoring location. Students are required to "clean up their own mess", and Lamar was shown how to utilize the carpet cleaner. He did a great job; afterwards, he cleaned the patio tutoring location. Lamar with cousin Shalay (14) and grand father, Roger, (my neighbor at Dominguez Hills, a few blocks away) Picture taken after we (Mr. Mike, Shalay and Lamar) had gone to church last Sunday. Lamar enjoys going to church and we enjoy taking him with us!
Lamar: Another new student. Lamar is kind and well mannered. He told me "Thank you, sir", after I had done the slightest for him. That is wonderful news coming from this young man from Pennsylvania. He gets along very well with the other students and we can hardly wait to bring him to the level of an "A" student. See Lesson Review 0-2 for one of his beginning Math lessons.
