Hey, don't laugh. This push-pull electronics amplifier really worked great!
Mr. Mike McAlpin speaks! The Radio Shack Electronics Kits are at the center of our electronics experimentation. It is joyful to have the students build a sophisticated circuit, turn it on and have it work! Occasionally, there is a mis-wire or two, but they are eradicated with the Fluke Digital Volt-Ohmmeter. The students are preparing themselves for an electrical career, being led by one of very best Instructors: Mr. Cleophas McAlpin, Senior Supervising Electrical Tester of the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power for 28 years. He has been retired for a number of years, but the Lesson Plans with regards to the metering of single phase and three phase watt-hour meters still stand today. They stand as training for electrical employees of the Department. Mr. McAlpin keeps in close contact with Department Electrical Engineers today; Some serving as Volunteer Tutors to this Organization.....Electrical Engineer Mariko Marianes is one such Volunteer Tutor.
"Sorry, Pop-Pop (Mike McAlpin). Those sparklers made me a little scared! Why do they have to shoot them up in the air when one of the Sparks is introduced? Next time, I won't jump from my seat and ask to sit on your lap. Momma Gayle got a little bit scared too, I think."
