A 90th Birthday Celebration...."Honor thy Mother and thy Father, that thy days might be long upon the land thy God giveth thee" ... Deloris, a very proud Black woman raised all of her children, single handedly! She is seen here at The Rio Honda Golf Club, dressed in a "Roaring 20's" outfit...as are all of the 100 guest....to celebrate this occasion. What a great celebration of life for a cancer survivor! God is good, all of the time. Shown standing is my very own "Sissy", now a Nurse (dressed in black), and Bobbie Jean.....Sissy came into my life at age 12, to clean and wash and iron clothes for us: She overcame all adversity to rise to the position of Nurse....from very humble beginnings. Her mother is first in her life, as she always marks her birthday with a special celebration. Below: Sissy's daughter, Tammie....and her daughter: ... Keyotta, a grand daughter-student of mine.. accompanying me...and then me! What a glorious celebration with the good food and fun, on this Sunday morning from 10:30 AM until 2:00PM.....Keyotta had to accompany me to my home to take a psychology exam for her college ... via the Internet. Tutoring is always ongoing....Whether it is promising Bobbie Jean that I will work with her grand children to improve their GPA, or whether it is picking up Keyotta from West Los Angeles, and bringing her over to take an exam.....it seems my life is set...and for that I give all Praises to God. He places me in the most joyous of places...interacting with the most joyous of people....as I carry on His work of teaching all for free! We prayed before dining....and I prayed my very own special prayer. I thank God...and I thank God...and I thanked Him!! All of the beautiful people in my life...."egg me on"...and you are one of them!
