Lesson Review: March 18, 2003: Students in attendance (8 from Carson)....Ke-Ontra, Ashley, Asia, Denee, James, DeVaughn, Ava, Glen, Jarrell, Cleasena:  Parents in attendance: Mabel Warren

The students were taken to the Internet and shown our website. I showed them "Educational Links" to other sites. The students marveled at the wealth of information contained at  Lesson Review 3A. Please visit this Lesson Review as others have around the World. It contains all that is necessary to make passing grades in all of the High School Math and Science classes, as well as Languages.

"My Time" was a 45-minute review of an Algebra Two past final examination from a prestigious high school in Los Angeles. The students listened to my lecture on the first 5 problems of the examination. I called upon DeVaughn, Asia and James to tutor the other students as I had tutored them on the problems. They did a good job with solving equations and simplification of expressions.

DeVaughn and I discussed Biology briefly. We talked at DNA and Genetic Engineering. DeVaughn's homework involved such information.

Interviews were held with the students. I gave each a chance at the "hot seat" to tell of their grades thus far at their respective schools. Each and every one of the students had good reports for Mabel Warren, Eddie Gayle McAlpin and yours truly. They were given accolades for making all passing grades on the last 6-week's progress report. Some were above a G.P.A. of 3.2 while all were over 2.5.

Congratulations were in order for those students who reversed bad grades made last semester. They were praised for their hard work and dedication to education. They have been placed on the "right educational track" and it is up to us to ensure they remain that way. We are requesting each and every person that read of these accomplishments, write to the students via cleophas9@aol.com and give them encouragement.

                                      Thank you....Cleophas Mike McAlpin...Chief Tutor/Webmaster/Director
