Today March 4, 2003: James #2 does homework and makes an entry into this website: Profile...

Hello, My name is James W. and today I am studying Life Skills. I am also studying  Health, English, and Algebra.

It is 7:40 PM and right now I am studying for my spelling test on tomorrow. Ominous, Regal, Atrocities, Adamant, and Condolence are my spelling words. Also, I did this Homework on rounding numbers to the nearest Hundred, Thousand, ones , and tens.

Lesson Review C-31:  (see below for Lesson Review A's of the past)

I worked with several students on the High School Exit examination. We used a sample examination and completed problems in the 20 or so page document. Cleasena, Sheena, Brittney, Marcus and Ke-Ontra listened to my explanations of problems involving graphing straight lines, percentages, graphs and other facets of mathematics. The Exit Examination will be given on Wednesday and Thursday and the students listened and worked diligently on the practice examination.

Jarrell (16) took over and worked with the students for more than one and one half hours on the Exit Examination. Jarrell works one hour per tutoring session as an Assistant Tutor and he does a fine job of it.

Brittney and I worked together on her Algebra 2 homework. It involved "absolute value problems" with a less than, or greater than calculation. Brittney understood, after a lecture, on how to solve the inequality problems as well as the greater than, less than, equal to, algebraic expressions involving absolute value expressions.

Some of the  students watched 20-minutes of Attorney Larry Easterwood's video, "Logic and Proof". Larry will be lecturing the students on March 23, 2003 at 3:00PM. The focus will be on the video.

Angela, one of the parents, and I spoke briefly on a pot-luck affair on March 23rd after Attorney Easterwood's lecture. Angela had her daughter to write down telephone numbers of all the students present so that they could invite their parents to the presentation. All are invited to attend.

I worked with James #2  and had him to input some of his homework into this site. I reminded him that the whole world would know of his homework and his motivation to excel, or his failure in doing his homework. This is my way of letting all know of our progress in the Tutoring Service. James will be called upon to input his grades on a monthly basis into this website. It is a new beginning to our "tracking system"!
