A Free Tutoring Service: Preparing For the Future

                               A Brief Appeal For Financial Assistance  

We want to take this opportunity to thank those of you who have assisted us financially over these past 4 years of operation. We became nonprofit in 1999 when it was realized that there are tremendous expenses connected with an operation such as this. We have received support from our friends and family over these past years and we really appreciate all that you have done to keep our doors open.

Our Organization begun as a grass roots movement. There was no elaborate network to ensure its future success. It was begun with a prayer to God and with the efforts of a single individual, Mr. Cleophas McAlpin. He stepped out on faith and allowed God to do the rest. Mr. McAlpin, along with your assistance,  has done all that was set out to do, and much, much more.

There is still a lot left to do and we will continue to sacrifice for the good of our children as long as God wills that it be so. If it is His Will, we will survive! He will awaken the conscience of those who turn their backs on education. See Edorial # 5......"Conscious  or " Normality"

As of late, I have challenged each and every one of the students to become "A" or "B" students. We do not encourage the making of anything less. Each and every one of the students have taken up the challenge and are working with an intensity unmatched by any that I have seen over these past years. I do believe they will have a wonderful surprise for all of us at the end of this semester. They have moved to a learning realm that I have never seen before: it is as if God Himself, has come to personally intervene in the educational process of our Free Tutoring Service. I invite each and every citizen to come and witness the Power of God at work in this Organization.

This is a simple appeal for financial assistance. We do need continued financial support from the public: any amount would be appreciated. The parents of the students we teach are pitching in to assist, but we need more than that to operate the kind of Service  that is second to none. I am now in the process of sending out 100 letters of appeal for donations. This takes away from my time to tutor the students and seriously cuts into my time to rest and recuperate. But I must continue doing all that I can do for our youth, and that might mean... until I drop!
